2025 Rooming Update
If You’re Staying at a Camp Hotel – This Impacts You
Important – Please Read!
Yesterday, Friday, we received our hotel contracts for the 2025 Minnesota Twins Camp. Each year we attempt to anticipate the level of the increase in those rates prior to communicating the cost for participating in next January’s camp. This year, as a result of the current inflationary climate, rooming costs have come in higher than we had anticipated. While we will absorb some of that increase, we will need to adjust those costs for next year’s camp. This increase will result in a slight increase to the “up-charge” for any camper requesting a private or single room.
Our goal each year is to keep costs reasonable as reasonable as possible. We do have a level of empathy for the Hotels as they too are attempting to anticipate their costs a year in advance. As you would expect, hotel and banquet costs represent a significant share of our total expenditures in delivering the camp.
The private room rate for the DoubleTree was originally communicated as $725 for camp week. That charge will now be $750. Anyone wanting a private room at the Homewood Suites this past year paid an up-charge of $825 for camp week. That rate for 2025 will be $875.00 We will again have a limited number of rooms at each of the hotels and will certainly attempt to satisfy your specific requests but will have to balance those requests with the availability at each of the properties.
On a more positive note, we are also announcing today that the discount for any camper not needing a hotel room (some of you own property in the Ft Myers area or have discount opportunities at other properties) will be increased from the 2024 level of a $500 discount to the new discount rate of $600.
If this impacts in any way your participation in next year’s camp, or your rooming preferences, please let us know as soon as possible. While this $50 increase for the week may not seem a significant or a material increase we understand it is still an increase and want to allow our campers to evaluate their individual situation. As always, we wish to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
