Luncheon Honoring Twins World Series Legends, Dick Bremer to be held and you’re invited!

Last week we received word from Twins Legend and Camp Pro Staff favorite, Kent Hrbek, that a fundraiser lunch will be held Tuesday, June 11th at the Brianno’s Charthouse Restaurant and Event Center in Lakeville to raise money for the 30 Days Foundation. The event will begin at 11:00 Am and conclude by 1:00 PM on the 11th.

Veteran Minneapolis Sports Broadcaster and personality, Mike Max will be serving as the Master of Ceremony. Several members from the Twins World Series teams plan on being on hand for the event as well.

As Part of the Program, the 40 year television face and voice of the Twins will also be recognized. For Twins Camp veterans, this has all the makings of a mini reunion with the opportunity to make a positive difference in the Twins Cities area.

The 30 Days Foundation was created by Mick Sterling in 2011 and it’s mission is to assist people with needs in paying their next month’s rent when there’s no place else they can go. We understand that there is no charge for the luncheon, but a donation is greatly appreciated. But we’ve seen enough to know that it truly is a worthwhile cause – so bring your checkbook!

If you were planning on joining us next January for Twins Camp, we have now developed a waiting list that we can add you to for next year’s camp. We do, on occasion, receive word that a registered camper has to cancel. We will respond to folks requesting to be added to our waiting list on a “first registered – first served” basis. Email us as soon as you can to request being added to our waiting list and go to www.yuratwin.com and complete a registration. There is no deposit required to be placed on this waiting list.

Twins Camp Key Dates Finalized!

2024.Reunion Game set for September 20th, 2024

We are happy to announce that the two key dates for the Twins Camp have been finalized. As a follow-up to a recent meeting with Dave St. Peter, Stan can confirm that the dates for the 2025 Minnesota Twins Fantasy Camp will be from Saturday, January 4th through Saturday, January 11th, in Ft Myers, Florida. The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in the Bell Tower Shops, will again serve as the Camp’s hotel headquarters. Travel dates to ensure that campers are on hand for the entire camp week would be to arrive by mid afternoon on January 4th and plan their departure for any time on Sunday, January 12th.

This year’s reunion game has a historic feel to it. Maybe not quite as monumental as August 8th, 1988, when the first night game was played at Wrigley Field, but it will be a first for us! This year’s game will be held on Friday evening, September 20th – Under the Lights! First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 PM on the 20th. We anticipate another big turnout for this event and will plan to play two games again. We will conclude play on the field by 8:00 PM. In the event of rain, the game would move to Saturday, September 21st, with the first pitch at 10:00 AM.

We will provide more information in future updates and ask for eligible campers to contact us at that time regarding their intentions to join us next September. We are currently exploring the opportunity for another “after party” to allow everyone to visit and to share information with any new “rookie” campers in attendance.

Stan is also scheduled to appear on the Bally Sports North television broadcast with Cory Provus, and on the radio with Dan Gladden and Chris Atteberry on the Twins Radio Network during the Wednesday, June 19th game vs. Tampa (6:40 start time).
