2024 Reunion Game
Final Details
Important – Please Read!
We’re just a couple of weeks away from our annual “Twins Camp Reunion Day” – always one of the camp year’s highlights! This year’s games will be held on Friday, September 20th, at Target Field, with the first pitch in game one at 5:00 PM and the first pitch of game two at 3:15 PM. Any camper from our 2024 camp, rookie registrants for the 2025 camp and those 2023 campers that had not had the opportunity to play at Target due to last year’s rainout are eligible to participate at Target Field.
Planning on joining us? Be sure to let us know!
If you’re planning on joining us on Friday the 20th – we need to hear from you no later than Monday, September 16th. Email us at info@yuratwin.com or at Stan’s personal email at dakotajacks@yahoo.com.
Many of you will be returning to Target Field and are familiar with the process. For our new campers, this will be your first opportunity to play at Target Field. We want it to be a great experience and provide you, as well as your family and friends, with all of the details for year’s activities. They are as follows:
ENTRANCE TO TARGET & PARKING SUGGESTION
ALL CAMPERS & GUESTS ENTER THROUGH GATE 14
Player and Fan Entry
Eligible campers and their family & friends may begin arriving at Target Field at approximately 4:15 PM on the 20th. There is no admission fee for your friends and family members attending your day at Target Field. Campers and family & Friends will both enter through the Gate 14 (the Kent Hrbek gate). You should plan on parking in the A Ramp, located adjacent to Target Field. Once inside the stadium, our rookie campers will be directed to the auxiliary locker room facility and registration area located at the 3rd base lounge. A player waiver form must be signed prior to taking the field. Waiver forms will be available at registration and in the dugout areas. Again, family and friends will enter through Gate 14 (the Hrbek Gate) beginning at 4:15 PM. Spectators attending the game are asked to please sit in the Champion Club area, directly behind home-plate. They’re the best seats in the house and some of the safest seats. There are NO concessions sold, so fans may want to bring their own water or snacks with them. Due to liability concerns, only players, Pro Staff members, umpires and designated staff are allowed on the playing field. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Campers arriving after 4:15 PM, will also need to enter the stadium through Gate 14. Once inside Gate 14 proceed to the field level to get directions on how to get to the locker room area.
Uniforms
Veteran Campers – IMPORTANT
To minimize crowding in the auxiliary locker room, we are asking our veteran campers that already have a uniform to come to Target Field already dressed in that uniform – ready to play. We’ve checked with the folks at the Sports Page and they are totally cool with you showing up for the post game party in your uniform. Veteran campers from out of town that may need the shower facilities will still have access to the locker and shower facilities should they need them. Anyone using the shower facilities will need to bring their own towels and toiletries as we will not have them available.
Veteran Campers can plan on wearing either of their “road” navy or “home” white jerseys. We recommend your Home whites so we can more easily identify our first year campers. The Rookie campers will be in Navy tops.
Rookie Campers
Rookie Campers will need to report to the Auxiliary locker room, located down the left field line at Target Field. There you will sign your waiver forms and receive your uniforms for use that day. We will also issue you a hat, belt and socks that you will take with you following the game and bring with you to Florida for next January’s Twins Camp. The temporary pants and jerseys you will use that day will be turned into us following your game.
IF you are a 2025 rookie camper and unsure whether you have registered or not, PLEASE contact us immediately. We will be unable to source a temporary uniform for you to use after Monday, September 16th. We will only be bringing uniforms for those campers that have registered with us in advance. We want to make sure we’re ready for you!
Game Schedule and Locker-Room Facilities
It appears that we’ll have another great turn-out for this year’s event. To accommodate the large number of players, we will again play two (2) one and one-half hour games with some slight modification to typical baseball rules to speed play and maximize our time on the field. We will again have team rosters assembled prior to Saturday’s games. If you have emailed us, we should have you on one of those team rosters and are trying to accommodate everyone’s game time requests. Our goal is to get each camper two “at bats” on Saturday.
As noted above, locker-room facilities are available for our rookie campers and those out of town veteran campers, but they are limited. Again, if you plan on showering at Target, we ask that you please bring your own towel and toiletries, as we will not have them available. There is limited unsecured locker space available on a “First Come – First Served” basis. We recommend that you hand off your valuables to a non-player friend or family member to hold for you. We cannot be responsible for any lost or stolen items. We should also add that both at Target Field and at camp in Florida, we have never had a problem.
Important!
Post Game at The Sports Page Bar & Grill
Immediately following the games, the fun will continue this year at The Sports Page Bar & Grill in Bloomington, MN. The Sports Page is located at 9014 Lyndale Ave. South in Bloomington – just off of I-35 South. Campers, their spouses, significant others and family members are welcome to join us at the Sports Page. We anticipate a start time at the Sports Page to be around 8:30 PM and we have the party room reserved.
The Camp has arranged with Becky and her team at the Sports Page to have a buffet of food available, and their will be a cash bar for your convenience as well. The Sports Page has a full menu of adult and non-alcohol beverages for you to select from.
And Finally!
We wish to thank the Minnesota Twins for providing us all the chance to live our dream and play on a Major League ball field. If you have not contacted us yet regarding your plan on joining us at Target, we urge you to do so today. We want to make sure we have you on the roster! Email us at info@yuratwin.com or call Stan on his cell phone at 712-540-6707. Thanks for taking time to read this memo. We look forward to another great day of baseball and camaraderie!
In the event of rain we will post a note on the Camp’s Facebook fan page (Minnesota Twins Official Fantasy Camp) for updates on the day’s status. Feel free to call or text Stan on his cell phone at 712-540-6707, with questions regarding the status of the game.
Again, we will have team rosters and the game schedule posted in the locker room & dug out areas for everyone to see prior to the start of game play.
See you on the 20th!
