Tim Laudner

Tim Laudner was drafted out of the University of Missouri by the Twins in the third round of the 1979 Major League Baseball Draft. Tim grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Park Center High School. Lauds became only the third player in baseball history to hit homeruns in his first two major league games. He was an excellent defensive catcher and handled the bulk of the catching duties for the 1987 World Champion Twins. Tim displayed his power at the plate with 16 round trippers in the ’87 Championship Season. He hit his first Grand Slam on June 14th of 1987 and added a World Series Homer to his baseball resume later that season.
