Chef George brings 40 years of culinary arts training and experience to the camp, and ranks among the most accomplished chefs in the world. Born in France, Chef George was raised in Brazil and immigrated to the U.S. in 1966. Following two years of military service in Viet Nam, he returned to France where he graduated from the St. Ainge Culinary D'Arts in Bordeaux, France. From 1975 to 1977, he interned at the Ambassador Hotel in Milan, Italy, where he worked under the direction of the world's premiere Saucier—Pierre Dusouchois. From 1977 to 1995, Chef George worked for Hilton Hotels International where he was instrumental in hotel start-ups in such places as Kenya, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Arab Emerets, U.S. Virgin Islands, and New Orleans. While with Hilton he also worked at the world famous, Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York. From 1991 to 1995 George was a member of the Hilton Executive team - the only chef ever to do so. George has been involved with several nationally recognized restaurant groups including California Pizza Kitchens and Planet Hollywood. He is today, one of only 58 internationally certified chefs in the world. He has had the privilege of cooking for Presidents Ronald Reagan and George Bush, as well as Presidential candidate Bob Dole and former U.S. Senatorial candidate, Colonel Oliver North. George speaks six languages: Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Arabic & English
