Milt Cuyler was drafted in the second round of the 1986 Major League Baseball draft and was the 46th player taken that year. He was 21 years old when he broke into the big leagues on September 6, 1990, with the Detroit Tigers. Milt's speed made him a threat on the bases and as well as from the left side of the plate. An outfielder, Milt played six years with the Tigers before moving to the Boston Red Sox in 1996. An injury kept him out of the 1997 season and the following year he played his last season in the major leagues with the Texas Rangers. Over the course of his career, he appeared in 490 games, had 329 hits, 10 homeruns, including a grand slam in 1992 as a Tiger. He finished his career with a .237 lifetime batting average and had 77 stolen bases. Milt continues to make baseball his career and is currently a coach and instructor.
