J.C. Romero played college baseball at the University of Mobile in Mobile, AL. The Twins drafted him in the 21st round of the 1997 MLB draft and made he made his big league debut as a Twins on September 15th, 1999. With the Twins, J.C. was used extensively out of the bullpen, particularly in "lefty on lefty" situations. He was a key member of the Twins teams that annually vied for the American League's Central Division Championships in the mid 2000's. J.C. has a World Series Championship ring as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies 2008.
